This world is broken.

It’s not hard to see all the destruction, the sickness, the tragic events, the lies, the devastation, the hate, and so much more.

And it’s not hard to feel the division, suffering, and the pain.

So often people wonder where God is in it all. Question upon question about His ‘absence’ when these things happen.

Truth is, God is in every detail.

He has never left.

He will never leave.

We think this way at times because it’s easy to feel and see God when things are going well, isn’t it? But, what about when your child gets cancer, your loved one dies, or that plane crashes, or when a riot takes place, or when that relationship failed.

Where is God when that school shooting took place, or when you lost your job, or your house burned down, or that hurricane wiped out a city, or when government is corrupt.

We want to question God and His goodness when we look around at so many things that are wrong and broken and wonder why He allowed them to happen.

Maybe instead of questioning God about ‘where He is’ when things hurt and press down hard – we need to seek Him in the everyday so that we are ready with a heart and mind that knows Truth.

Because, this world is broken and things are going to happen that are hard + painful. God never promised life would be easy, but He has promised to be in the midst of every detail. He still promises that He indeed will have the final say and ALL things will be made right for those who follow Him!

One day all the brokenness of this world will be no more. Breathe that in dear friend and crawl into Our Saviors arms today and everyday, and find rest in the hope that only He can and does offer.

“He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death, or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”
