Seasons

We encounter many seasons in our life don’t we? Not just the change in climate, but the seasons that bring forth shifts to our daily life.

Some of these shifts are so welcomed and needed. And some just bring us to our knees.

Change is inevitable and we all face different seasons where we need to re-adapt and shift from what once was.

This isn’t always easy.

Autumn whispered to the wind, “I fall, but I always rise again.”

I admit that I often feel as though I am falling. Shifts take place and sometimes I can see them forming – much like the change in seasons, slow and climatic-like. Other times it’s a trigger that brings me down to my knees in an instant.

Both are frequent and both type of falls hurt.

What I have learned over the years of processing grief is that falling can’t be avoided.

Change, seasons, these moments in time that alter us … they will come. And they will keep coming. There will always be a need to process the different seasons and continual shift that life brings forth.

But, what I have also fully come to know is that God is and always will be the safety net that catches every fall.

Maybe you’re in a season right now that has you feeling weary?

Cling to these words dear friend. Let Truth seep into  every crevice. And remember that you are never alone.

The Lord upholds all who fall and lifts up all who are bowed down. ~ Psalm 145:14

Let Hope Rise,
